ABOUT US

Soroptimist members belong to local clubs, which determine the focus of service to their communities. Club projects range from renovating domestic violence shelters, to providing mammograms to low-income women, or to sponsoring self-esteem workshops for teenage girls.

How to Become a Member

Membership of a Soroptimist Club is by invitation and represents a wide range of professions. To be eligible for membership, a woman must be actively engaged in a management or professional capacity, in the private or public sector, or in an occupation with comparable status or with comparable responsibilities. Recently retired or women temporarily or permanently out of work from a profession or business and those embarking on a career are also eligible.

Membership Privileges

There are currently 90,000 members in over 3,000 Clubs in 125 countries and territories. Soroptimist International is the world′s largest service organization of professional women. Membership in Soroptimist provides the following benefits:

DUES

Annual dues become due and payable on the 3rd Tuesday of June of each year - $125.00. There is an additional one-time new member fee required by Headquarters

Each new member admitted to the club during the second half of the fiscal year (01-01 thru 06-30) shall be prorated regular dues plus the new member fee assessed by Headquarters.
